About Sturdyfloss™
Now with a new ultra-thin tip! SturdyFloss™ is an innovation in flossing for people with braces, bridges, or other appliances. The secret is in the unique colored flexible tip. You can bend it into any shape you need to get under wires and around appliances. It stays in position until you decide to change it – and you can change it again and again as you floss. This product was invented by a dental hygienist, and it truly makes flossing a breeze!
Each strand of SturdyFloss is individually wrapped in plastic. The built-in bendable rigid tip is attached to a length of plain unscented unflavored floss. It’s especially great for kids who have trouble grasping other types of slippery floss threaders or maneuvering floss under an arch wire. Adults with braces or bridgework will also appreciate the sturdy but thin tip that is so easy to bend and hold.
Each box of SturdyFloss contains 100 strands, each individually wrapped in plastic. You can hygienically keep several in your pocket, purse, desk, backpack or your personalized orthodontic kit.

Sharon Anderson, who works at a dental office, knows it’s important to floss. But having braces makes it more difficult. Watch the report "When you have braces, it is nearly impossible," she said. "You have to pull it in and out of the brackets and try and get it up in there and it's kind of difficult." She was eager to try Sturdyfloss, which claims to put the fun back in flossing by making it easier for folks with dental work to do it. "I would love it if it does work because regular floss is so difficult to use," she added. After opening the package, she noticed it was different from regular floss. "The tough part about flossing is trying to get this little string in between your brackets and this makes it a little bit easier." She said the guide at the end of the Sturdyfloss didn't bend, making it easier to get in and out of her braces. She didn’t even need a mirror to floss, she joked. "I love it and will actually floss."
